Clothes come out warm but still damp, so you run it twice. That's a heating element, a bad thermostat, or airflow that's choked off. Sometimes the drum turns and nothing heats at all. Sometimes it won't start unless you hold the button. Each points somewhere different inside the cabinet. Our techs handle stacked units in Queens closets and older gas dryers in basements without much room to move. Independent service, all major brands. Describe the smell, the sound, and how long the cycle runs — us, or fill out the quote form.

We cover 10451, 10455, 10461 and 10462, and cross into Brooklyn, Elmont and Valley Stream on the same routes.
Almost always airflow. Lint collects in the duct, the hood flap sticks, or a crushed flex hose behind the machine strangles exhaust. Heat builds, the dryer cycles off early, and clothes stay damp. We check the whole run, not just the screen.
Treat it that way. Stop the dryer, unplug it or shut the gas valve, and don't run it again. Scorched lint near the element or a failing motor both smell like that. Call us and we'll talk through what you're smelling.
Yes. Gas units add igniters, flame sensors and gas valve coils to the list of parts that fail. Electric units come down to elements, fuses and thermostats. We diagnose both, and we handle stacked and side-by-side setups.
Often, yes. Belts, rollers, fuses and elements are ordinary wear parts on a cabinet that's otherwise sound. If the drum is cracked or the bulkhead is rusted through, we say so plainly and you decide.
Most calls get a same-week window, and we try for next-day when a fridge or a leaking washer is involved. Give us your cross street and building type when you call us — a walk-up with no service elevator changes how long we block off. If your co-op or landlord requires a certificate of insurance, say so up front so we can send it ahead.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
