Three cycles and the towels are still damp. Or the drum spins with no heat at all. Sometimes it's a burnt heating element, sometimes a bad thermal fuse, sometimes airflow choked so badly the machine shuts itself down to protect the motor. We test rather than guess. Gas and electric, all major brands, independent service. Newton's older two-families often route the dryer vent up a long wall, which makes heat problems worse. We check the whole path, not just the appliance. Tell us what the dryer does and doesn't do — call us.

Almost always airflow. Lint collects in the duct, the hood flap sticks, or a crushed flex hose behind the machine strangles exhaust. Heat builds, the dryer cycles off early, and clothes stay damp. We check the whole run, not just the screen.
Treat it that way. Stop the dryer, unplug it or shut the gas valve, and don't run it again. Scorched lint near the element or a failing motor both smell like that. Call us and we'll talk through what you're smelling.
Yes. Gas units add igniters, flame sensors and gas valve coils to the list of parts that fail. Electric units come down to elements, fuses and thermostats. We diagnose both, and we handle stacked and side-by-side setups.
Often, yes. Belts, rollers, fuses and elements are ordinary wear parts on a cabinet that's otherwise sound. If the drum is cracked or the bulkhead is rusted through, we say so plainly and you decide.
Call us and we'll give you the next open window, often within a day or two. Morning and afternoon blocks are available. If your street parking is permit-only or the driveway is short, say so when you book so the tech plans for it.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
