Three loads to dry one towel means something's wrong. Could be a failed heating element, a tripped thermal fuse, a bad thermostat, or lint choking the blower wheel. Drum not turning at all usually means a snapped belt. Burning smells mean stop using it now. We service gas and electric dryers from all major brands, independent of any manufacturer. Philadelphia laundry closets and cellar corners get cramped, and we're used to pulling units out of them without wrecking the trim. Describe the symptom when you call us, or send the quote form.

We cover 19101, 19102, 19103, 19104 and 19106 in the city, plus Drexel Hill, Havertown, Springfield and Radnor.
Almost always airflow. Lint collects in the duct, the hood flap sticks, or a crushed flex hose behind the machine strangles exhaust. Heat builds, the dryer cycles off early, and clothes stay damp. We check the whole run, not just the screen.
Treat it that way. Stop the dryer, unplug it or shut the gas valve, and don't run it again. Scorched lint near the element or a failing motor both smell like that. Call us and we'll talk through what you're smelling.
Yes. Gas units add igniters, flame sensors and gas valve coils to the list of parts that fail. Electric units come down to elements, fuses and thermostats. We diagnose both, and we handle stacked and side-by-side setups.
Often, yes. Belts, rollers, fuses and elements are ordinary wear parts on a cabinet that's otherwise sound. If the drum is cracked or the bulkhead is rusted through, we say so plainly and you decide.
Call us and we'll give you the next open window, usually within a couple of business days. Weekday mornings fill first. Tell us if parking is permit-only on your block so the tech plans for it.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
