Clicking that never lights. One burner stuck on high. A smooth top that heats one zone and ignores the other three. We fix cooktops in Washington apartments and rowhouses, from Downtown DC condos to older kitchens in 20009, and we work on gas and electric alike. Spark modules, valves, burner caps, infinite switches, surface elements, wiring at the terminal block. Independent service across all major brands. Don't keep relighting a burner with a match. Reach us, or use the quote form and describe what the burner does.

We cover 20001, 20002, 20005 and 20009, plus Golden Triangle, Downtown DC, The Wharf and Shaw.
Both, plus dual-fuel and induction. Gas work means igniters, valves, orifices and safety valves. Electric means elements, infinite switches and relay boards. Induction means coils and power modules. Tell us which you have when you call us.
Almost always a part, not the appliance. A drifting temperature sensor is the usual culprit, sometimes the control board or a cracked element. We test the sensor's resistance cold, so the diagnosis isn't guesswork.
Yes, and it's usually a small repair. On gas that points at one igniter or a blocked orifice. On electric it's often the element or its receptacle. Isolated failures are simpler than whole-range problems.
That's most of the homes we visit. Rowhouses and walk-ups don't leave much clearance. We protect the floor, walk the range out carefully, and check for a gas shutoff before anything moves.
Usually within a day or two, sometimes same day if a route opens near you. Call us with your ZIP and the symptom. If your building needs a service elevator reserved or a loading dock time, say so when you book so we schedule around it.
Call us or fill out the form. Describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions so the tech arrives with likely parts on the truck.
Pick a window that works. Our tech tests the machine, checks power, water and drainage, then explains what failed in plain words. No jargon, no guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
Most jobs finish the same visit. If a part must be ordered, we tell you what and why. If the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that too, and you decide.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the fault, approve the written quote, get it fixed. Starting takes about a minute.
