The independent appliance repair shop across the Northeast
Washer Repair in Washington — Book a Visit Today
We repair washers anywhere in Washington, all major brands, independently. Standing water in the tub, a spin cycle that thumps hard enough to walk the machine across the floor, soap that never rinses out. These machines often live in tight basements or stacked closets here, so we come ready to work in small spaces without tearing up your walls. Drain pumps, lid switches, belts, bearings, inlet valves and control boards. Shut the water off at the valves if it's leaking. Then call us or send us the details through the quote form.

What homeowners say after the visit
“Dryer squealed like a train. New rollers, quiet laundry room, happy family.”

Cliff T.Brooklyn, NYWasher Repair in Washington — quick answers
My washer shows an error code. Does that tell you the part?
It narrows the area, not the part. A drain code can point at the pump, the filter, the hose, or the sensor reading pressure. We use the code as a starting point, then test the circuit to find which piece actually failed.
Front-load or top-load, which gives more trouble?
Different trouble. Front-loaders bring door boot leaks, bearing noise and filter clogs. Top-loaders bring lid switches, couplers and agitator wear. We service both, and the diagnosis path differs for each.
Why does my laundry smell sour?
Residue. Detergent film and lint build up in the boot, the dispenser and the drain hose, and bacteria live in it. We clean those paths and check that the machine drains fully, since standing water keeps the smell coming back.
Can you get a washer out of a tight basement corner?
Usually yes. Old Northeast houses hand us narrow stairs and low headroom all the time. We bring a light and drop cloths, and we pull the machine only as far as the repair needs before sliding it back.
How soon can you get to my place in DC?
Usually within a day or two, and sometimes same day if a route opens near you. Call us with your ZIP and tell us the symptom. If your building needs a service elevator reserved or a loading dock time, say so when you book and we will schedule around it.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call us or fill out the form and describe what you hear, smell or see. Brand and rough age help. We ask a few questions first so the tech shows up with the likely parts already on the truck.
- Step 2
We come look
Pick a window that works for you. The tech tests the machine and checks power, water and drainage, then tells you what failed in plain words. No jargon. No guessing out loud at your kitchen table.
- Step 3
Repair or straight answer
Most jobs finish on the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you what it is and why. And if the unit isn't worth fixing, we say that, then you decide.

Why homeowners call us
- Old houses don't scare usRowhouse kitchens, narrow cellar stairs, stacked units jammed into closets. We've pulled machines through doorways built long before these appliances existed. We protect floors and trim, and everything goes back where it stood.
- Symptom-first diagnosisA dryer that runs cold and a dryer that trips the breaker are two different problems. We test before we replace. That keeps us from swapping out good parts and handing you a bill for nothing.
- Independent, not a brand agentWe repair all major brands and answer to no manufacturer. So we recommend the fix that makes sense for your machine and your budget, and that includes telling you when replacement is the smarter move.
- All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and the rest.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
